Commander (retired) Stuart Erskine Crewe-Read, (6 January, 1901 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Lieutenant R. O. Crewe-Read, an Army reserve officer, Stuart served in the battleship Erin from 9 January 1917 through February 1919.[1]
Crewe-Read was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 June, 1921.[2]
Crewe-Read was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 June, 1929.[3]
World War II
Crewe-Read was placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Commander on 6 January, 1946.[4]
