Admiral SIR Lawrence George Durlacher, K.C.B., O.B.E., D.S.C. (24 July, 1904 – 16 January, 1986) served in the Royal Navy. Wikipedia and his obituary record his name as "Laurence", but his Service Record and The Navy List have him as "Lawrence".

Life & Career

Durlacher was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 April, 1927.[1]

Durlacher was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 April, 1935.[2]

Durlacher was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1939.[3]

World War II

Durlacher was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1945.[4]

Durlacher was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 7 January, 1955.[5]

Durlacher was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 7 July, 1958.[6]

Durlacher was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 12 April, 1961. He retired on 26 January, 1962.[7]
