Lieutenant-Commander Richard Newstead Garnett, (26 May, 1902 – 1 June, 1939) served in the Royal Navy.
As with many men born c. 1899 or later, his Service Records at The National Archives do not reflect activity between 1931 and 1939 or so.
Life & Career
Garnett was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 September, 1932.[1]
World War II
Garnett died when new submarine H.M.S. Thetis was lost in a diving accident in June, 1939.
