Commander (retired) Henry John Graham Good, (5 August, 1879 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Good was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 26 June, 1902.

Good survived the explosion aboard A 5 alongside her depot ship H.M.S. Hazard on 16 February, 1905. He was blamed for the accident, for not having "rigidly adhered to orders." He was found fit on 28 August, 1905.[1]

He commanded the river gunboat Teal on the China Station until being removed at his own request on account of ill health in May 1910.[2]

Good was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 26 June, 1910.

Upon outbreak of war, he was appointed to the armed merchant cruiser Macedonia for one month before being sent to assist the Officer in Charge, Aberdeen W/T Station. He was re-appointed in the acting rank of Commander on 26 June 1916.

Good was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Commander on 22 August, 1920.[3]

World War II

Reverted to the Retired List on 12 April, 1946.
