Captain (retired) Hamilton John Burnett Hall, C.B.E., O.B.E. (31 May, 1884 – 26 June, 1949) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Yorktown, Surrey, the son of Colonel B. G. Hall.[1]

Hall was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 January, 1904.[2]

Hall was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 January, 1912.[3]

Though Hall was most often in staff positions, he served as gunnery officer in Cleopatra from August 1916 to 21 January, 1918, being promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1916.[4]

Hall was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Captain on 31 May, 1930.[5]
