Rear-Admiral (retired) Stanley Ray Miller (16 July, 1875 – 18 July, 1946) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Norfolk.
Miller was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1897.
Miller was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1910.
On 24 June, 1915, Miller was appointed in command of the monitor H.M.S. Sir John Moore,[1] and commanded her during bombardment operations in August 1915.[2]
Miller was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1915.
He was appointed in command of the battlecruiser Australia on 21 September, 1920.[3]
Miller was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 8 November, 1926.
