Lieutenant-Commander Aubrey Cecil Newbold, R.N. (10 July, 1892 – 14 September, 1924) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Newbold was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 April, 1915.
Post-War
Newbold was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 April, 1923 while serving in Malaya. On 29 April, 1924 he was appointed to take a short Periscope Course and on 1 July appointed to Titania for command of a submarine. Soon thereafter, Newbold died in Hong Kong of spinal meningitis and was buried in the city's Happy Valley Cemetery.
