Lieutenant Frank Power O'Reilly, R.N. (22 May, 1887 – 31 May, 1916) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Dublin.
On 29 December 1906, O'Reilly was deprived of one months' time for misconduct.
O'Reilly was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 April, 1909.
O'Reilly was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 7 on 21 January, 1913.[1]
He was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 11 on 1 August, 1914.[2]
O'Reilly was appointe dto King Edward VII for signaling duties on 21 October, 1914 and he remained there until being appointed to Vernon on 8 May, 1915.
He was finally appointed to Invincible for signaling and W/T duties on the staff of R/A Hood on 24 May, 1915. He would be killed when she was lost at the Battle of Jutland.
