Lieutenant Francis Eckley Oakeley, R.N. (5 February, 1891 – c. 25 November, 1914) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of a Clerk in Holy Orders.
Oakeley was promoted to the rank of Sub-Lieutenant on 30 November, 1911.
Oakeley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 November, 1913.
Oakeley was appointed to the submarine D 2 on 26 September 1914 and would die in her when she was lost to unknown cause off the German coast in late November, 1914.
