Commander (retired) Lewis Tobias Peyton-Jones, R.N. (25 August, 1877 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

The Royal Navy had him on the books as Lewis Tobias Jones before he altereed his name for some reasons.

Life & Career

Jones was born in Brighton, Victoria [illeg], the son of Edward Pitcairn Jones.

Jones was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 December, 1899. In 1906, he was found guilty at a Court Martial for grounding Donegal and had to forfeit one year's seniority, placing him at 15 December, 1900.

Jones was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 December, 1908.

Jones was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Commander on 8 June, 1922.
