Vice-Admiral SIR Albert Lawrence Poland, K.B.E., C.B., D.S.O.*, D.S.C. (18 June, 1895 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of retired Lt. Albert Edwin Poland, R.N..[1]
Poland was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 April, 1917.[2]
Poland was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 April, 1925.[3]
He commanded Seamew upon transferring to her in 1927 to 21 June, 1929.[4]
Poland was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1931.[5]
World War II
Poland was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1939.[6]
Poland was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 10 July, 1948.[7]
Poland was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 15 August, 1951. He was placed on the Retired List on 16 December, 1954.[8]
