Rear-Admiral (retired) Henry Salmond, Royal Navy (31 December, 1838 – 28 April, 1895) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Salmond was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 25 October, 1860.

In 1864, Salmond was awarded the Royal Humane Society's Silver Medal for saving life from drowning.[1]

Salmond was promoted to the rank of Commander on 22 October, 1870.

Salmond was promoted to the rank of Captain on 29 January, 1886.

Retired due to non-service on 12 May 1887.

Salmond was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 1 January, 1895.
