Lieutenant John Stuart Binny Scott, R.N. (1 February, 1888 – 18 October, 1914) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Wilson Grove, Southsea. Scott entered the training ship Britannia in May, 1903. He emerged a Midshipman and was appointed to the battleship Magnificent on 15 September, 1904. He remained in her through 5 November, 1906.
Scott was promoted to the rank of Sub-Lieutenant on 15 November, 1907.
Scott was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1910. In November, 1912 he was sent to Dolphin for instruction in submarines. He completed this on 3 March 1913 and was sent to the submarine tender Forth to serve in submarines.
Scott was lost in E 3 when she was sunk by U 27 off the German coast.
