Captain (retired) William Henry Somerset, R.N. (10 October, 1849 – 18 August, 1922) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Somerset was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 July, 1874.
In 1885, Somerset's evaluation noted he was a man of rich cultural talents. He spoke French and was gifted at drawing, painting and music.
Somerset was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1890.
Somerset was placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Captain on 10 October, 1899.
