Captain (retired) Keppel Wade, R.N. (24 June, 1854 – 6 February, 1925) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Although Wade was accepted for the May 1868 term at Britannia,[1] his service record indicates he entered with the September 1868 intake term.
Wade was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 December, 1879.[2]
Wade was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1894.[3]
Wade was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Captain on 5 November, 1902.[4]
During the Great War, Wade first worked with the Coast Guard in the North of Ireland before serving as Naval Vice Consul, Boston, later transferring to New York. He was superseded in November 1917.[5]
