Commander (retired) Marcus Francis Beresford Whyte, R.N. (20 November, 1873 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Nunbley[?]
Whyte was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in December, 1895.
In 1907, Whyte was awarded the Royal Humane Society's Bronze Medal for saving life from drowning.[1]
Retired at his own request on 18 June, 1912, Whyte was promoted to the rank of Commander (retired) in November, 1913.
Whyte died of pneumonia.
