Captain Cecil Edward Brooke, (11 August, 1885 – 11 January, 1935) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Captain G. M. Brooke, R.N. was born in Victoria Grove, Southsea.
Brooke was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1907.[1]
During the Great War, he served in Astræa, Challenger, Shannon and Hyacinth, being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 October, 1915.[2]
Brooke was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1919.[3]
Brooke was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Captain on 11 August, 1931.[4]
