Colonel Harry Delacombe, (7 February, 1872 – ) served in the Royal Navy and the Royal Naval Air Service.

Life & Career

The son of Lieutenant Colonel Delacombe.[1]

In 1889 he was deprived of five months' seniority by Captain Pringle of Carysfort for leaving the ship while officer of the watch. He was noted as capable of speaking some French and being intelligent, but while being unreliable.[2]

In 1892, he was docked another two months for misconduct at College. In March, it was felt that he was intentionally failing to pass for Lieutenant.

Delacombe resigned his naval commission in June 1892 to avoid Court Martial on charges of improperly leaving the ship. He joined the R.N.A.S. on 6 August, 1914.[3]

In 1932, it was noted in his Service Record, "Calls himself Colonel."
