Engineering Lieutenant-Commander Herbert Scott (27 September, 1882 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Educated at St. Pauls School, London and at Cardiff Technical College.

Scott was promoted to the rank of Engineering Lieutenant, Temporary Service on 15 December, 1915.

He served in Hindustan from 12 January 1916, then in Lord Clive, vice Simson, from 26 September, 1 1916.

Appointed to London on 11 May 1917, Scott was promoted to the rank of Acting Engineer Lieutenant-Commander, Temporary Service on 15 August, 1917. Acting Engineer Lieutenant-Commander Scott was appointed in command of the new destroyer Seawolf, which was still under construction, on 4 July, 1918.[1]

He was demobilised on 18 May 1919. On 27 September, 1927, he was removed from the list on account of age.[2]
