Lieutenant-Commander Charles Sebastian Morris, (24 March, 1886 – 31 May, 1916) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Pelham Crescent, London.
Morris was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1904. Through much of 1906, he was medically unfit.[1]
In June 1908 he received a £10 prize for having received six first-class certificates.[2]
In February 1912 he received a medal for his assistance in the earthquake at Messina in December 1908.[3]
Morris was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1912.[4]
On 5 January, 1916 he was certified for wireless signalling duties.[5]
Morris died in the armoured cruiser H.M.S. Black Prince when she was lost at the Battle of Jutland.[6]
