Commander (retired) Humphry Collis Woolrych, (22 August, 1893 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Major H. Woolrych of the Indian Army.[1]

On 6 February 1914, he was appointed to the T.B. 6, though this may be a boat of another number. On 29 July, he was moved to the destroyer Itchen.[2]

Woolrych was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 May, 1915. In June, he was appointed to the {UK-M33|f=t}}.[3]

Woolrych was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 May, 1923. In 1927, while appointed as to Cardiff as torpedo officer and Squadron Torpedo Officer for the Third Cruiser Squadron, Woolrych was found by a Court of Enquiry to be to blame for an accident to himself and an A.B. while weighing anchor by hand.
