Vice-Admiral William Elrington Gordon, Royal Navy, Retired (20 May, 1831 – 7 July, 1897) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Gordon was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 5 July, 1885.[1]
In accordance with the provisions of the Order in Council of 22 February, 1870 Gordon was placed on the Retired List on 20 May, 1891.[2] He was advanced to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 10 September, 1891.[3]
