Admiral SIR Guy Charles Cecil Royle, K.C.B., C.M.G., Royal Navy (17 August, 1885 – 4 January, 1954) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Royle was appointed Lieutenant & Commander of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 052 on 1 November, 1906.[1]
Royle was present at Battle of Jutland as Gunnery Officer of H.M.S. Marlborough, in which capacity he'd been appointed 17 September, 1913.[Citation needed] Promoted to Commander to date 30 June, 1916. Promoted Captain on 23 June, 1923 while serving in the Naval Ordnance Department.
In December 1927, he was appointed in command of the light cruiser Canterbury.[2]
Placed on the Retired List at his own request on 16 March, 1946.
