H.M.S. Ajax was one of five Leander Class light cruisers completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Commissioned at Portsmouth on 15 May, 1935 under the command of Colin Sinclair Thomson.[5]

Commissioned at Portsmouth on 11 January, 1938 under the continued command of Charles H. L. Woodhouse.[6]
