Commander Charles Keith Adam, D.S.O., R.N., Retired (29 April, 1891 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Adam gained a half month's time on passing out of the Training Establishment in May, 1908. He was sent to join the battleship Britannia, operating with the Channel Squadron.
Adam was promoted to the rank of Sub-Lieutenant on 30 October, 1911.[1] On 11 November, he was appointed to join the Tribal Class destroyer Mohawk.[2]
Adam was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 October, 1913.[3]
Adam was appointed as Lieutenant in Command of the destroyer Hornet on 1 May, 1918.[4]
Post-War
Adam was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 October, 1921.[5]
Adam was appointed in command of the fishery protection gunboat Dee on 4 September, 1930. From there, Adam was appointed in command of the fishery protection gunboat Dart on 26 May, 1931. He was superseded on 12 June, 1933.[6]
Adam was promoted to the rank of Commander on 29 April, 1934.[7]
