H.M.S. Sparrow was one of nine gunboats of the Redbreast class completed for the Royal Navy around 1890.

Service

Commissioned on 13 May, 1890 at Sheerness under the command of Lieutenant & Commander Peyton Hoskyns.[3]

In 1913, she was attached to Vernon.[4]
