Commander (retired) Patrick Beauchamp Valentine Heard, (14 February, 1894 – 29 August, 1955) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Major E. S. Heard of the Northern[?] Fusilliers.[1]

During the war, Heard served in Drake, Stag, Goshawk, Devonshire, Birmingham, Starfish and Ajax.

In April 1915, Heard was admitted to Queensferry Hospital with gonorrhea. The following month, he was in Plymouth Hospital for the same affliction.[2]

Heard was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 May, 1916.[3]

Heard was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 May, 1924.[4]

Heard was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Commander on 14 February, 1936.[5]
