- Commander Duncan W. Roe, 21 March, 1916 – 15 January, 1917 (temporary)
- Commander William H. Darwall, 21 May, 1916[8] – 26 May, 1919[9]
- Lieutenant in Command Joseph Horsfield, 7 June, 1919[10] – 15 December, 1919 (and for command of group of sloops)
Darwall may have taken command in January, 1917.[Inference]
