Captain (retired) Edward George Godolphin Hastings, (17 November, 1887 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Hastings was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1909.[1]
Hastings served as navigating officer in Bristol and Cochrane during the war. He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1917. On 19 February, 1919 he was found guilty at a Court Martial of having stranded Cochrane. A reprimand resulted. By this time, he was already serving as navigating officer in Iron Duke.[2]

Hastings was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Captain on 29 April, 1937.[4]
