Rear-Admiral Guy Waterhouse Hallifax, C.M.G., Royal Navy (21 June, 1884 – 28 March, 1941) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Hallifax was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 January, 1905.[1]

Hallifax was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 January, 1913.[2]

Hallifax was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1917.[3]

Post-War

Hallifax was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1924.[4]

Hallifax was appointed in command of the light cruiser Carlisle in August, 1926.

In August, 1932, Hallifax was appointed in command of the battleship Malaya.

Hallifax was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 3 October, 1935 and was placed on the Retired List the next day.[5]

He died in an aircraft accident on 28 March, 1941.
