Chief Boatswain Ernest Albert Griffin, D.S.C., R.N. (6 May, 1871 – 25 June, 1910) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Griffin was promoted to the rank of Boatswain on 1 December, 1901. A Court Martial in late 1909 obliged him to surrender a year's seniority, making this date 1 December, 1902. he was also removed from command of Insolent.
Griffin was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 86 on 27 December, 1912.[1]
Griffin was promoted to the rank of Chief Boatswain on 1 December, 1917.
