Lieutenant-Commander Harry Alexander Dykes Keate, D.S.O., R.N. (10 June, 1890 – 26 April, 1925) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in South Kensington.
Keate was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 July, 1911.
Keate was appointed in command of the destroyer Tristram on 29 March, 1918.[1]
Keate was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 July, 1919.
In November, 1919, Keate was appointed in command of the destroyer Vidette.[2]
Keate died at his home from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. An inquest determined it was accidental, and self-inflicted.
