Captain Arthur Douglas Harry Dibben, O.B.E. (15 May, 1887 – 15 February, 1942) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Hanwell, the son of H. J. Dibben, Esq..
Dibben was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 May, 1908.[1]
During the war, Dibben navigated Dublin, Donegal and {UK-Indomitable}}. He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 May, 1916.[2]
Dibben was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1921.[3]
Dibben was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1929. He was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 15 May, 1934.[4]
World War II
Appointed N.C.S.O., Humber, vice Gifford on 15 May 1941. He was presumed killed in action 15 February, 1942.[5]
