Admiral SIR Paul Warner Bush, K.C.B., M.V.O., Royal Navy (21 September, 1855 – 15 March, 1930) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Bush was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant from the Victoria and Albert with seniority of 5 September, 1877.[1]

Bush was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1891.[2]

Bush was promoted to the rank of Captain on 22 June, 1897.[3] He was appointed to the second-class protected cruiser Eclipse dated 5 June, 1899, as Flag Captain to Rear-Admiral Day H. Bosanquet, Commander-in-Chief on the East Indies Station.[4]

On 26 February, 1901, Bush was appointed in command of the first-class protected cruiser St. George.[5]

Flag Rank

Bush was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 10 April, 1907, vice Cumming.[6]

He was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 19 May, 1912, vice King-Hall.[7]

Bush was appointed an Ordinary Member of the Second Class, or Knight Commander, in the Military Division of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) on 1 January, 1914.[8]

He was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 24 October, 1915, vice Simons,[9] and, in accordance with the provisions of the Order in Council of 8 December, 1903, he was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 10 January, 1916.[10]
