Captain Thomas Brandreth, Royal Navy, Retired (10 April, 1865 – 16 December, 1924) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
He was, perhaps, the son of Admiral Thomas Brandreth, born in 1825, but his guardian is listed as Reverend H. Girdlestone.
Life & Career
Brandreth was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 1845.
Brandreth was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Commander on 12 March, 1910.
Brandreth was appointed Deputy-Governor of the Naval Prison, Bodmin on 1 January, 1911.[1] The prison closed on 31 March, 1922.[2] He was promoted to the rank of Captain on the Retired List on 1 April, 1922.
