Rear-Admiral Richard Everley Washbourn, C.B., D.S.O., O.B.E. (14 February, 1910 – ) served in the Royal Navy and the Royal New Zealand Navy.
Life & Career
Washbourn was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 February, 1932.
Washbourn was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 February, 1940.
Awarded the Goodenough Medal, the Commander Egerton Prize and the Ronald Megaw Memorial Prize.
Washbourn was Chief of Navy for the R.N.Z.N. from June 1963 through September, 1965.
