Commander (retired) Horatio Morey Garrett, R.N. (7 January, 1884 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Broughton.

Garrett was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1906.

Garrett was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 October, 1914.

After two years in command of a group fo destroyers in reserve, Garrett was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Commander on 2 February, 1927.

World War II

Garrett was back, serving first with the Naval Officer in Charge, Port of London in 1938, and with D.E.M.S. in 1939.
