Captain (retired) Ralph Fearon Ayscough, (6 May, 1861 – 10 October, 1941) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Reverend F. A. Smith was born in Tinbury[?], Worcester.[1]

Ayscough was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1884.[2]

Ayscough was placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Commander on 6 May, 1906.[3]

Having served in transport duties during the conflict, Ayscough was promoted to the rank of Captain (retired) in recognition of his wartime service, dated 11 November, 1918.[4]
