Lieutenant-Commander Ronald Gerard Chichester, (28 May, 1896 – 11 August, 1956) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Chichester's father, a Lt. Colonel in [illeg] Army, was deceased when he joined the Navy in May 1909.[1]
Chichester was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 March, 1918.[2]
Chichester was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 March, 1926.[3]
Placed on the Retired List on 29 August, 1934.[4]
World War II
An incredible number of shore-based appointments. It is surprising that he never received a promotion to Commander.
