Captain (retired) Francis Jack Cartwright, O.B.E., C.V.O., R.N. (4 August, 1908 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
As with many men born c. 1899 or later, his Service Records at The National Archives do not reflect activity between 1931 and 1939 or so.
Life & Career
Cartwright was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 16 August, 1931.[Inference]
World War II
Cartwright was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 16 August, 1939.[1]
Cartwright was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1945.[2]
Cartwright was placed on the Retired List at the rank of Captain on 4 August, 1958.[3]
