Vice-Admiral (retired) Richard Ashmore Powell ( – 24 December, 1892) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Powell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 18 May, 1842.[1]
Powell was promoted to the rank of Commander on 4 November, 1851.
Powell was promoted to the rank of Captain on 8 March, 1855.
He retired as a Captain on 6 July, 1871.
Advanced to the rank of Rear-Admiral on the Retired List on 6 April, 1873.
Advanced to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 21 March, 1878.
