Commander (retired) Gordon Lennox Ansell (28 June, 1883 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Promoted to the rank of Mate 28 August, 1913.

Promoted to the rank of Lieutenant 28 December, 1915.

On 1 December, 1922, Lieutenant Ansell took over Group "K" of submarines in reserve, comprised of six "R" class boats: R 1, R 2, R 3, R 7, R 8 and R 9[1]

Ansell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander 28 December, 1923.

Ansell was placed on the Retired List with the rank of Commander on 28 June, 1928.
