Admiral SIR Nathaniel Bowden-Smith, K.C.B., Royal Navy (21 January, 1838 – 28 April, 1921) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Bowden-Smith was promoted to the rank of Commander on 26 June, 1866.[1]
Bowden-Smith was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 19 June, 1888, vice Culme-Seymour.[2]
In the Queen's Diamond Jubilee honours, Erskine was appointed an Additional Member of the Second Class, or Knight Commander, in the Military Division of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) on 22 June, 1897.[3] He was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 26 October, 1899, vice Jones.[4] In accordance with the provisions of the Order in Council of 22 February, 1870, he was placed on the Retired List dated 21 January, 1903.[5]
