Hugh Davenport Colville ( – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Colville was appointed in command of the minelaying submarine Porpoise on 24 January, 1914.[1] He was her captain at the Battle of Jutland, operating as part of the Fourth Destroyer Flotilla.[2]

He was appointed in command of the flotilla leader Gabriel on 14 June, 1918.[3]

Colville was appointed in command of the flotilla leader Mackay on 9 July, 1920.[4]
