Captain (retired) Gordon Alston Coles (1 April, 1882 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Coles was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1903.[1]
Coles was appointed in command of the destroyer Boxer on 12 January, 1910.[2]
On 25 June, 1913, he was appointed in command of the destroyer Ambuscade.[3] He was her captain at the Battle of Jutland, operating as part of the Fourth Destroyer Flotilla.[4]
