Captain (retired) George Francis Arthur Mulock, D.S.O., R.N. (7 February, 1882 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Blackpool, Lancashire.
Mulock was awarded the Antarctic Medal of 1902/4.
Mulock was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1903.
Mulock was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1911.
Mulock was appointed in command of the destroyer Jed on 14 May, 1913.[1]
Mulock was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1915 or 1916.[Fact Check]
On 5 December, 1917, he was appointed in command of the gunboat Bee.[2]
Post-War
Retired on 17 July, 1920, Mulock was promoted to the rank of Captain (retired) on 7 February, 1927.
On 7 April, 1921, Mulock was granted permission to proceed to Shanghai to work with London Asiatic Petroleum.
World War II
Appointed as the Extended Defence Officer, Fort Canning on 28 September, 1939, Mulock was taken prisoner by the Japanese and eventually liberated.
