Vice-Admiral (retired) Charles Samuel Wills, C.M.G., D.S.O., R.N. (8 December, 1871 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Wills was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1893.

Wills was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1905.

Wills was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1912.

Wills was appointed in command of the monitor Erebus on 12 August, 1916.[1] He was mentioned in dispatches for his part in the Zeebrugge and Ostend Raids.Royal Navy Medals - Mention in Dispatches, Zeebrugge and Ostend Raids

Willis was appointed in command of the Russian protected cruiser Askold from 23 July, 1918 until being invalided in October, 1918.

Wills was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 16 November, 1922 and was placed on the Retired List the following day.

Wills was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 22 February, 1928.
