Commander Cyril James Herbert Hill, R.N., Retired (16 August, 1891 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Hill was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 May, 1914.
Hill was appointed in command of the destroyer Afridi on 26 December, 1917.[1]
Post-War
Hill was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 May, 1922.
Hill was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Commander on 16 August, 1934.
World War II
Hill worked as a Staff Officer on the Staff of the C-in-C, Nore at Area Combined Headquarters from 25 August, 1939 through the end of the war.
He reverted to the Retired List on 8 October, 1946.
