John William Brown

Captain (retired) John William Brown, (29 June, 1849 – 11 June, 1917) served in the Royal Navy's navigation branch.
A younger man by the same name served in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.
Life & Career
Brown was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1890.
Brown was placed on the Retired List at the rank of Captain on 22 March, 1898.
