Lieutenant Sidney Glenton Smith, (14 october, 1846 – 25 August, 1881) served in the Royal Navy. There is a chance that his middle name may have been "Glinton", as one Service Record transcribes it.

Life & Career

Smith was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 June, 1869.

Smith was superseded in command of Forester in June 1881 and died soon thereafter at Haslar Hospital, perhaps from asthma.
